Heidi has a social service background, worked as a business development and marketing specialist, and most recently she and her husband retired from running their bicycle shop and resort in Kingston. She has volunteered with Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance, Greater Seattle Business Association, Kitsap Community Foundation, and was a founding member of the Kitsap County Domestic Violence Task Force. Heidi enjoys mountain and gravel biking.

Don is on a number of regional committees and boards including the Puget Sound Regional Council, the Bicycle Pedestrian Advisory Committee, the Peninsula Trails Coalition, He worked closely with Kitsap Forest & Bay Coalition and Forterra to conserve forest open space land in Port Gamble and has been involved since inception of the Sound to Olympics Trail. Don and his wife Judy were recently awarded the Great Peninsula Conservancy Gary Allen Cunningham Conservation Award. He enjoys walking, cycling, and bird watching.

Robbie is an active outdoor enthusiast, spending much time hiking, biking and horseback riding. Her love of the forest and trails in North Kitsap led her to the North Kitsap Trails Association with a desire to give back to the community since it has given her so many open spaces to explore and enjoy.

A 32-year resident of North Kitsap and retired NK School Dist. educator, Patsy and her family have been hiking and biking trail-users in the area since they moved here. She’s been involved with NKTA since 2010 and was recruited to help write the North Kitsap String of Pearls Trail Plan, adopted by Kitsap County in 2011. She enjoys kayaking, sailing, skiing, travel and spending time with family and friends.

Doug is a retired Architect and avid hiker, who moved to Kitsap County almost 40 years ago, and believes in the phrase "acting locally while thinking globally". After spending many years of "driving" his bicycle to other counties in search of a safe place for his kids & grandkids to ride bicycles, he is now a fully involved safety advocate today in making Kitsap a safe place to hike & bike. He’s worked with North Kitsap Trails Assoc. since 2010.

Linda is a founding member of the NKTA board. She is a retired architect with a degree in planning, and has volunteered in the parks since 1999. She’s served on both County and Poulsbo Parks boards, Poulsbo City Council, Puget Sound Partnership, Puget Sound Regional Council and the Kitsap Public Facilities District board. She likes to hike and backpack and believe parks and open space are good for everyone and everything!

Read is a retired architect and Meadow Rover volunteer with the National Park Service at Mt Rainier. He actively volunteers with the Hansville Greenway, working on trails and the steering committee for 100 acres acquisition.

Jen Skalbeck is a Kingston resident and currently Executive Director of the Greater Kingston Chamber of Commerce after working with a global nonprofit for 8 years and Amazon for 5 years. Jen loves to hike and bike in her spare time and also serves on the Parks Advisory Board for Kitsap County.

Dianne is a retired educator and as a bilateral amputee, is a strong advocate for a paved Sound To Olympics Trail so that people with disabilities have a safe place to walk, bike, or roll. She is involved with the West Sound Cycling Club and recently received the Cascade Bike Club Volunteer of the Year award for Outreach and Advocacy.

Tom Vessella is a retired engineer and product manager. He lives with his wife and two children in Port Gamble and volunteers to support several North Kitsap organizations, including the Kingston Stakeholders, Vinland Robotics Club, North Kitsap Soccer Club, and the North Kitsap Trails Association. Tom is an avid hiker/backpacker with decades of wilderness experience in the PNW and around the world. Here in the PNW, Tom has completed hundreds of hikes including solo trips across the Cascades and summiting peaks such as Shuksan, Baker, and El Dorado.
