Help keep North Kitsap's trails safe and enjoyable for everyone, with these simple rules:

  • Bicyclists should yield to walkers, runners and horses; pedestrians and runners should yield to horses.

  • Share the trail, stay to the right and leave room for others to pass. Slow down when approaching or passing other trail users, especially where sightlines are limited, and use extra caution at intersections.

  • When encountering horses, stop and step to the side of the trail, and bicyclists approaching horses from behind should stop, announce themselves and wait for instructions before passing.

  • Keep pets under control and clean up after them, respect private property, and always stay on the trail.

Remember, you are responsible for your own safety; when in doubt, slow down and communicate.
