Now Open: North Gateway Trailhead at Port Gamble Forest Heritage Park

Located at 3800 NE Carver Dr, just off NE State Hwy 104 via Gamble Way NE at the north end of the 3500-acre park. This new park trailhead, restroom and parking area provides direct entry into the mountain bike ride park and improves access to the north end of the park, making it easier for visitors to get out and explore. Whether you are heading out for a ride, a hike, or just looking to spend some time outdoors, this new trailhead is designed to help you get there more easily.

The North Gateway Trailhead includes:

• 75 parking stalls

• ADA parking

• A new restroom

• The closest access point to the mountain bike ride park

This project is part of ongoing efforts to improve access, support recreation, and enhance the overall visitor experience at Port Gamble Forest Heritage Park. We are excited to see this space come together and to welcome the community to use it.

Please mark your calendars! We’ll be hosting a Port Gamble Forest Heritage Park celebration event in May 2026, at the North Gateway Trailhead. Details will be shared soon, hope to see you there!
